An Affordable Route into Teaching

Graduates earn a Massachusetts Initial Teacher Licensure, a master’s degree in education from UMass Boston and credit toward a dual license in either Special Education or English as a Second Language.

As a resident, you receive a $12,500 stipend, health care benefits and a $5775 AmeriCorps Education Award u. You upon completion of the program.  You can apply for financial aid through UMass Boston to supplement your stipend income.

In addition, we waive one third of your $10,000 program cost for each year you commit to the Boston Public Schools.
