Boston Teacher Residency

- 65% of grads teach in BPS for more than 5 years, and members of BTR’s earliest cohorts, who entered teaching over two decades ago, are still teaching and working in BPS
- BTR grads are four times more likely than MA teachers to be rated “Exemplary” in their 4th year of teaching.
Dudley Street School
When we opened the school in 2012, just 29% of students were reading on grade level. At the end of the 2019-2020 school year, 52 of students were reading on or above grade level, and 68% of students made one year or more growth in reading.
Dearborn STEM Academy
BPE, as operator of the the Dearborn STEM Academy, helped the school exit turnaround status by improving student outcomes such that the school moved from the 2nd to the 16th accountability percentile (compared to all other MS/HS and K-12 schools in the Massachusetts).
As of Spring 2026, DSA students have completed nearly 1,300 college courses, with a passing rate of 86%. They have earned transferable college credit for 926 courses
