2020-21 School Year

DSNCS Admission and Lottery

At Dudley Street School, we teach the skills students need to excel in today’s world — all in an environment that supports their intellectual, social, emotional and personal growth. There is a wonderful sense of community here and a high level of family engagement.

Dudley Street School is open for enrollment to all students in Grades K1, K2, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 residing in the Boston Public School district.

Important Dates:

  • Application deadline: July 16, 2020, at 4:30 p.m
  • Lottery: Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 am

Step 1

Applications open the 2nd week of November and are due by February 28, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available seats, we will hold a lottery on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 6 Shirley Street.

From June-December each year we will run subsequent lotteries on the first of every month for any grades in which our waitlist is exhausted. If you apply after the deadline for the initial lottery, you will be included in these subsequent lotteries.

We welcome all families to attend the lottery, but attendance is NOT MANDATORY to claim a seat should you receive one.

Step 2

Contact Admission staff to update any information that may have changed after submitting your application. If we’re not able to get in touch with you, you may miss out an opportunity to join our school community.

To schedule a tour and additional questions, please contact the Admission staff at 617-635-8507.

Dudley Street School forms a Prek-12 pathway with Dearborn STEM Academy. All Dudley Street School students have a guaranteed seat at Dearborn STEM for grades 6-12.
