Thank You for Celebrating with Us!

We are still buzzing with excitement from BPE’s 40th Birthday Bash. We were thrilled to be joined by hundreds of friends, colleagues, educators, and supporters who share our commitment to public education in Boston.

For 40 years, BPE has worked to strengthen Boston’s public schools by developing great teachers and great schools. Since launching the Boston Teacher Residency in 2003, we have prepared nearly 800 educators in high-need areas such as math, science, and special education, reaching approximately 18,000 students across Boston Public Schools. Through Dudley Street Neighborhood Charter School and Dearborn STEM Academy, we have expanded access to high-quality educational opportunities for Boston students and families.

As we reflected on BPE’s first 40 years, one thing was clear: educators are at the heart of our work. They are the guides our students need, helping young people discover their strengths, pursue their goals, and realize their brilliance.

Looking ahead to the next 40 years, we know that students will face opportunities and challenges we cannot yet imagine. BPE will continue our core work—preparing and supporting great teachers, strengthening schools, and creating pathways that help students thrive in college, career, and life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this milestone and who continues to support our mission. Together, we are building a stronger future for Boston’s students.
