Bill Madden-Fuoco leads the team of coaches responsible for the teacher preparation program at the Dearborn STEM Academy. Bill got his start with BTR as a resident. After graduating BTR in 2007, Bill taught Humanities and Advanced Placement English at Urban Science Academy for five years. In 2011, he was a finalist for the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year program. Bill served for two years as BTR’s Secondary ELA Instructional Coach before becoming a Humanities teacher at the Dearborn STEM Academy. Prior to his career in BPS, Bill earned an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and was honored with the Intellectual Contribution Award by the faculty and his peers. In addition, he worked for five years as the Research and Communications Coordinator for the Anti-Defamation League’s Education Division. A passion for equitable educational opportunity and a desire to be part of a team that delivers high-quality education to students in an open-admissions BPS school drives his work.
