Focus - A newsletter produced with the Boston Public Schools
Originally, "Focus" was intended to convey the research behind the district's
reform design, known as Whole-School Improvement, and clarify expectations. Topics have
included literacy, effective practices, professional development, use of time,
and standards and curriculum.
- School Clips - A monthly update of school
reform work in Boston
The two-page newsletter is mailed electronically to 5,000 corporate and civic
leaders, as well as to principals, teachers, and
other district staff.
- BPE Reports - Research findings, evaluations, and descriptions
of the process of whole-school improvement in Boston and progress made
- Guides - Companion materials for implementing whole-school improvement activities in schools and districts
