Lynne Godfrey oversees professional support for Boston Teacher Residency program participants, graduates, and their colleagues in partner schools. Ms. Godfrey’s classroom at the King Open School on Cambridge is where Bob Moses began his pioneering work that became the Algebra Project. With her students and other teachers, Ms. Godfrey helped develop and taught the Algebra Project Transition Curriculum. She has taught grades two through eight in Cambridge and Boston and has been an adjunct professor at Wheelock College, a senior facilitator with the Algebra Project, the upper school coordinator and math coach at the Young Achievers School, and, most recently, a math coach for the Cambridge Public Schools.

Our Core Partner
The Boston Teacher Residency is a joint initiative of the Boston Public Schools and the Boston Plan for Excellence (BPE) and is housed at BPE.

The Boston Plan for Excellence is working to make sure every child in Boston receives an excellent education. As a local education fund and nonprofit, we seek and support innovative solutions to the toughest problems faced by Boston’s students, their teachers, and the school system as a whole.
