Special Projects
The Boston Plan for Excellence is home to two special initiatives that celebrate and support the work of principals and teachers in the Boston Public Schools.
Fund for Teachers-Boston
Fund for Teachers-Boston, an affiliate of the national Fund for Teachers, raises private funds to provide the city’s public school teachers with summer study and travel grants of their own design. Through their FFT projects, teachers have the opportunity to deepen their own intellectual and creative spirits — and their teaching skills. Grant recipients spend their summers pursuing interests and examining issues that will help them to engage their students more effectively during the school year.
